Windows Desktop

Windows Desktop Windows operating system का main graphical workspace है। Computer में sign in करने के बाद सामान्यतः यही वह screen होती है जहाँ user applications, files, folders और system features तक आसानी से access करता है।

Simple words में, Desktop Windows का main working area है जहाँ से हम computer पर अपना काम शुरू करते हैं।

Desktop के Main Components

1. Desktop Background

Desktop की पूरी screen के पीछे दिखाई देने वाली image या solid color को Desktop Background या Wallpaper कहा जाता है।

User इसे अपनी पसंद के अनुसार change कर सकता है।

2. Desktop Icons

Desktop पर दिखाई देने वाले छोटे graphical symbols Icons कहलाते हैं।

इनकी मदद से applications, files, folders या system locations तक जल्दी access किया जा सकता है।

हर Windows version में default icons अलग हो सकते हैं।

3. Shortcuts

Shortcut किसी application, file, folder या location तक जल्दी पहुँचने का link होता है।

Shortcut को delete करने से सामान्यतः original file या application uninstall/delete नहीं होती।

4. Taskbar

Desktop के नीचे या configured position पर दिखाई देने वाली Taskbar open और pinned applications तथा important system controls तक quick access देती है।

इसमें commonly:

Start
Search
Pinned Apps
Running Apps
System/Notification Area

जैसे elements होते हैं।

5. Start Menu

Start Menu applications, settings, search और other Windows features तक access देता है।

इसे सामान्यतः Start button पर click करके open किया जाता है।

6. Recycle Bin

Recycle Bin deleted files और folders को temporarily hold कर सकता है।

7. Notification/System Area

Taskbar का system/notification area Windows और background applications से related status information दिखा सकता है।

Available icons Windows version और system configuration के अनुसार अलग हो सकते हैं।

8. Mouse Pointer

Mouse Pointer screen पर user की current position को indicate करता है।

इसके माध्यम से user:

Click
Double-click
Right-click
Drag and Drop
Select

जैसे actions perform कर सकता है।

Desktop पर Common Actions

1. Single Click

किसी icon या item को select करने के लिए।

2. Double Click

किसी application, file या folder को open करने के लिए commonly use किया जाता है।

3. Right Click

Context menu खोलने के लिए।

इसमें item के अनुसार अलग-अलग options दिखाई दे सकते हैं।

4. Drag and Drop

किसी item को mouse से पकड़कर दूसरी location पर move या place करने के लिए।

5. Desktop पर Right Click

Desktop के खाली area पर right-click करने से context menu खुल सकता है।

इसमें Windows version के अनुसार:

जैसे options मिल सकते हैं।

Desktop पर Folder बनाना

Desktop पर नया folder बनाने का basic तरीका:

Right Click → New → Folder → Name Type करें → Enter
