Error Logs — cPanel में Error Logs क्या हैं और Website Error कैसे समझें?
जब किसी Website में कोई समस्या आती है, तो कई बार केवल Browser पर दिखाई देने वाला Error Message देखकर असली कारण पता नहीं चलता। ऐसी स्थिति में Error Logs बहुत उपयोगी होते हैं।
सरल भाषा में, Error Logs वे Records होते हैं जिनमें Server, PHP, Website या किसी Script द्वारा Generate की गई Errors और Warnings की जानकारी Store हो सकती है।
WordPress और cPanel सीखते समय Error Logs को समझना जरूरी है, क्योंकि इससे Website की समस्या का कारण खोजने में मदद मिल सकती है।
Error Logs क्या होते हैं?
जब Server पर कोई Error या Warning Generate होती है, तो Server या Application उस घटना की जानकारी Log File में लिख सकती है।
इसमें Error से संबंधित जानकारी हो सकती है:
- Error का प्रकार
- Date और Time
- संबंधित File
- Line Number
- Request या URL
- Server या Application से संबंधित अन्य जानकारी
उदाहरण के लिए, अगर किसी PHP File में समस्या है, तो Log में उस File और Line Number से संबंधित जानकारी दिखाई दे सकती है।
Error Logs की जरूरत क्यों होती है?
Error Logs का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण काम Troubleshooting में मदद करना है।
मान लीजिए आपकी WordPress Website अचानक White Screen दिखा रही है। केवल Browser देखकर कारण पता लगाना मुश्किल हो सकता है।
लेकिन Error Log में Plugin, Theme या PHP से संबंधित Error दिखाई दे सकती है।
इससे समस्या की दिशा समझने में मदद मिलती है।
cPanel में Error Logs कहाँ मिलते हैं?
cPanel में Error Logs का Location Hosting Provider और Server Configuration के अनुसार अलग हो सकता है।
कई cPanel Hosting में:
cPanel → Metrics → Errors
जैसा Option उपलब्ध हो सकता है।
कुछ Hosting Environments में Server Logs या Application Logs अलग Location पर भी उपलब्ध हो सकते हैं।
इसलिए अपने Hosting Provider के cPanel Layout को ध्यान में रखना चाहिए।
Error Log में क्या दिखाई दे सकता है?
एक Error Log Entry में इस प्रकार की जानकारी हो सकती है:

File: /public_html/example.php
Line: 25
Message: Undefined variableयह केवल समझाने का उदाहरण है। वास्तविक Log Format Server और Software के अनुसार अलग हो सकता है।
PHP Errors
WordPress और अन्य PHP Websites में PHP Errors काफी सामान्य हो सकती हैं।
उदाहरण:
- Syntax Error
- Fatal Error
- Warning
- Notice
- Undefined Variable
- Missing Function
- Memory Limit Error
हर Error की गंभीरता अलग हो सकती है।
Fatal Error Website के किसी हिस्से को काम करने से रोक सकती है, जबकि कुछ Warnings Website को चलने देती हैं लेकिन किसी समस्या की ओर संकेत करती हैं।
WordPress में Error Logs
WordPress Website में Error Logs Plugin, Theme, PHP या Server Configuration से संबंधित समस्याओं को समझने में मदद कर सकते हैं।
उदाहरण के लिए:
अगर किसी Plugin को Activate करने के बाद Website में Error आने लगा, तो Error Log में उस Plugin की File या Function से संबंधित जानकारी मिल सकती है।
इससे यह पता लगाने में मदद मिल सकती है कि समस्या कहाँ से आ रही है।
Error Log और Debugging
Error Log केवल Error दिखाता है; हर बार उसका पूरा समाधान नहीं बताता।
उदाहरण:
अगर Log में किसी Plugin की File का नाम दिखाई देता है, तो इसका मतलब यह हो सकता है कि Error उस Plugin के Code Path से संबंधित है। लेकिन वास्तविक Root Cause जानने के लिए Code, Plugin Version, PHP Version और Server Environment को भी देखना पड़ सकता है।
इसलिए Error Logs को Troubleshooting का एक महत्वपूर्ण Source समझना चाहिए, पूरा समाधान नहीं।
WordPress Debugging
WordPress में Debugging के लिए WP_DEBUG जैसी Settings उपलब्ध हैं।
Development या Testing Environment में Debugging को Enable करके अतिरिक्त Error Information प्राप्त की जा सकती है।
लेकिन Live Production Website पर Detailed Errors Visitors को दिखाना Security Risk हो सकता है।
इसलिए Production Website में Errors को Public Screen पर दिखाने के बजाय सुरक्षित Logs में Record करना बेहतर होता है, यदि आपकी Configuration इसकी अनुमति देती है।
Error Logs और Security
Error Logs में कभी-कभी Sensitive Information भी दिखाई दे सकती है।
जैसे:
- File Paths
- Server Information
- Plugin Details
- User Input
- Technical Configuration
इसलिए Error Logs को Publicly Share नहीं करना चाहिए।
अगर किसी Developer को Log भेजना जरूरी हो, तो Sensitive Information को पहले Remove या Mask करना चाहिए।
Error Logs कब Check करने चाहिए?
Error Logs को खासतौर पर इन परिस्थितियों में Check करना उपयोगी होता है:
Website अचानक Open नहीं हो रही
500 Internal Server Error
PHP Error
Plugin या Theme Activate करने के बाद समस्या
WordPress Update के बाद Error
Cron Job Fail
Database या Server-related Problem
Website पर कोई Feature काम नहीं कर रहा
500 Internal Server Error और Error Logs
अगर Browser में:
500 Internal Server Error
दिख रहा है, तो Error Logs वास्तविक समस्या खोजने में काफी मदद कर सकते हैं।
इसके पीछे PHP Error, .htaccess Configuration, Permissions, Server Configuration या Resource Limit जैसी अलग-अलग वजहें हो सकती हैं।
इसलिए केवल 500 Error देखकर किसी एक कारण को निश्चित नहीं मानना चाहिए।
Error Logs को Manage करते समय सावधानी
Error Logs के साथ काम करते समय:
- Log को ध्यान से पढ़ें।
- Date और Time Check करें।
- Error वाली File और Line Number देखें।
- Error शुरू होने का समय पहचानें।
- Plugin या Theme Update के बाद Error आया है या नहीं, देखें।
- Sensitive Log Data Publicly Share न करें।
- समस्या ठीक होने के बाद पुराने Logs को Hosting Policy के अनुसार Manage करें।
Error Logs और Cron Jobs
अगर आपने cPanel में कोई Cron Job बनाई है और वह काम नहीं कर रही, तो Error Logs या संबंधित Application Logs से जानकारी मिल सकती है।
उदाहरण:
Cron Job → PHP Script → Error → Log Entry
इससे Script का Path, PHP Error या Permission Problem जैसी जानकारी मिल सकती है।

Error Logs Website और Server की समस्याओं को समझने के लिए बहुत उपयोगी Records हैं। इनमें PHP, Server, WordPress या किसी Application से संबंधित Errors और Warnings की जानकारी मिल सकती है।
cPanel में Error Logs को समझना सीखने से आप Website Troubleshooting को अधिक व्यवस्थित तरीके से कर सकते हैं।
