Delete and Restore

Windows में Delete का उपयोग किसी unwanted file या folder को हटाने के लिए किया जाता है, जबकि Restore का उपयोग Recycle Bin में मौजूद deleted item को उसकी previous location पर वापस लाने के लिए किया जाता है।

Simple words में, Delete से file हटाई जाती है और Restore से Recycle Bin में मौजूद file को वापस लाया जा सकता है।

Delete क्या है?

Delete का मतलब किसी file या folder को उसकी current location से हटाना है।

Windows में सामान्य delete operation के दौरान file या folder अक्सर Recycle Bin में चला जाता है, जहाँ से उसे बाद में restore किया जा सकता है।

Method 1 — Delete Key

Step 1: File या folder select करें।

Step 2: Keyboard पर Delete दबाएँ।

Step 3: अगर confirmation दिखाई दे, तो deletion confirm करें।

Method 2 — Right Click

Step 1: File या folder select करें।

Step 2: Right Click → Delete

File या folder सामान्यतः Recycle Bin में move हो जाएगा।

Method 3 — Drag to Recycle Bin

कुछ situations में file या folder को mouse से Recycle Bin पर drag करके भी delete किया जा सकता है।

Recycle Bin क्या है?

Recycle Bin Windows का एक special location है जहाँ normally deleted files और folders temporarily रखे जाते हैं।

इसका फायदा यह है कि accidental deletion होने पर file को वापस restore किया जा सकता है।

Restore क्या है?

Restore का मतलब Recycle Bin में मौजूद deleted file या folder को उसकी original location पर वापस भेजना है।

Restore करने का तरीका

Step 1: Desktop से Recycle Bin open करें।

Step 2: जिस file या folder को वापस लाना है, उसे select करें।

Step 3: Right Click → Restore करें।

File अपनी previous location पर वापस चली जाएगी।

Example

मान लीजिए:

Documents → DCA Notes → CPU.pdf

को delete किया गया।

Delete के बाद:

CPU.pdf → Recycle Bin

अब Restore करने पर:

Recycle Bin → Restore → Documents → DCA Notes → CPU.pdf

File अपनी original location पर वापस आ जाएगी।

Permanently Delete

अगर Recycle Bin में मौजूद file को permanently remove करना हो, तो उसे permanently delete किया जा सकता है।

Right Click → Delete

या Recycle Bin को Empty Recycle Bin किया जा सकता है।

Important: Permanently deleted files को normal Restore option से वापस नहीं लाया जा सकता।

Shift + Delete

Windows में:

Shift + Delete

का उपयोग selected file/folder को Recycle Bin को bypass करके permanently delete करने के लिए किया जा सकता है।

इसलिए इस shortcut का उपयोग carefully करना चाहिए।

Recycle Bin Empty करना

Recycle Bin की सभी items को permanently remove करने के लिए:

Right Click on Recycle Bin → Empty Recycle Bin

Empty करने से पहले carefully check करें कि कोई important file तो मौजूद नहीं है।

Important Points

• Delete करने से पहले file को carefully check करें।
• Important files का backup रखें।
• Recycle Bin में मौजूद files storage space ले सकती हैं।
• Permanent deletion से पहले confirm करें।
• USB drives और कुछ removable/network locations से deleted files हमेशा Recycle Bin में नहीं जातीं; behavior location और system configuration पर depend करता है।

Practical Example

मान लीजिए आपने गलती से Student Records.xlsx delete कर दिया।

Step 1: Recycle Bin open करें।
Step 2: Student Records.xlsx find करें।
Step 3: File पर Right Click करें।
Step 4: Restore select करें।
Step 5: File अपनी original location पर वापस आ जाएगी।
