Operating System Introduction

Operating System (OS) एक System Software है जो computer के hardware और software के बीच interface का काम करता है। यह computer के resources को manage करता है और users को computer operate करने के लिए environment provide करता है।

Simple words में, Operating System computer को चलाने और उसके hardware तथा software को manage करने वाला main system software है।

Operating System की जरूरत क्यों होती है?

Computer hardware अपने आप user के commands को आसानी से handle नहीं कर सकता। Operating System user और hardware के बीच communication और resource management provide करता है।

User → Application → Operating System → Hardware

Example:

जब आप keyboard से कोई letter type करते हैं:
